  • This bespoke course that has been specifically designed for the dental setting will provide candidates with the knowledge and skill to manage medical and first aid emergencies.
Objectives
  • Candidates will be able to demonstrate a safe and effective structured approach using the drugs and equipment available (GDC rec List) to manage various emergencies within the dental practice setting.
Learning outcomes

Candidates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate effective team management skills in a simulated environment
  • Demonstrate a A-E approach
  • Demonstrate safe and effective assessment and appropriate treatment using drugs and equipment as appropriate
  • Demonstrate safe IM injection technique
  • Demonstrate good quality CPR and AED skills
  • Explain the principles of the chain of survival
