Aims

The Leadership for healthy living dentistry aims to encourage dental leaders to create an ethos of proactive health and wellbeing within the dental practice by creating an environment that supports and mentors team members.

Objectives
  • . Evaluate local health data and use it to inform your dental care.
  • · Understand the Healthy Living Dentistry framework and your role in this.
  • · Assess your leadership strengths and how you will use leadership to deliver the programme.
  • · Engage your team to deliver proactive healthy lifestyle advice and implement HLD in your practice.
  • · Apply the principles of effective change management to support your team through the process of change.
  • · Develop an action plan for Healthy Living Dentistry for your practice making best use of you own use of time and delegation
Learning outcomes

Delegates will have the leadership skills and knowledge to engage the dental team in making every contact count in preventing and promoting oral health and general health.
