  • Provide an update on current thinking and techniques on the use of Direct composite resin for the restoration of the worn and heavily restored dentition
  • Provide an update on the use of Indirect restorations and the use of resin cements
  • Provide an update on bonding techniques
  • To include the preparation and fitting of all ceramic and composite crowns and inlays
Objectives

1 Placement and anatomical contouring of posterior composites

2 Treatment of Tooth surface loss/wear affecting anterior teeth with direct composite

3 Principles of cavity preparation for direct composite placement to include cuspal coverage as required

4 Finishing techniques for composite restorations

5 Preparation techniques for indirect restorations including Inlays/onlays and all ceramic crowns

6 Use of resin cements

Update on current thinking and techniques for treatment of caries and toothwear

The diagnosis and treatment of tooth surface loss with direct composite

The placement and finishing of composite restorations in posterior and anterior teeth

The understanding of relevant bonding techniques and materials
