Additional information

The session will start at 6pm with a buffet meal allowing time for peer review and networking amongst participants. This will be followed by a lecture with time for discussion.

Catering

A selection of vegetarian/non vegetarian options will be made available, however please be aware that we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements such as Gluten Free, Nut Allergy, Vegan. We therefore suggest that delegates bring their own food if you have a specialist requirement.

Aims

To provide an overview of the most common traumatic dental injuries, and an update in their prevention and management.

Objectives
  • Review prevalence data for traumatic dental injuries to understand which traumatic dental injuries are most likely to present to general dental practice
  • Appraise the role of the GDP in delivering primary & secondary prevention for traumatic dental injuries
  • Understand the presentation & emergency management of common traumatic dental injuries
  • Consider factors that impact on short and long-term prognosis for traumatic dental injuries
  • Reflect on the potential of therapies for necrotic immature teeth, such as regenerative endodontic procedures, to be translated in to clinical practice.
