To help Foundation Dentists recognise Stress, and their triggers for Stress

To develop awareness of the effects of stress on health, personal wellbeing and professionalism

To develop good habits early in their careers to mitigate the effects of Stress

a. Personally

Objectives

• Look at causes and effects of Stress

• How to deal with it in immediate situations

• How to recognise your own triggers for Stress

• How to relieve Stress effectively in the long term

• Practice Yoga and Mindfulness as an example of Stress reduction techniques

Learning outcomes

 • Participants will be more able to recognise their own stress levels and identify coping mechanisms that are applicable to their personal needs

• Will have had firsthand experience of stress relieving techniques and be able to implement strategies in their own lives to reduce stress
