DescriptionThis practical ‘Hands On’ Endodontic course for General Dental Practitioners will provide delegates with the opportunities to learn/develop contemporary endodontic skills whilst reviewing the principals of endodontic disease.
Additional information

Christian Turner is a British Dental Surgeon with 30 years of experience. He completed his MSc in Endodontics and organises and delivers courses on Endodontics regularly throughout the North West. He is a member of the Cumbria Local Dental Network.

Aims

To introduce contemporary endodontic techniques (including access, instrumentation and irrigation) and understand biology of endodontic disease and the importance of basic biological principles in its treatment

Objectives

This course meets Enhanced CPD Outcome: A, C & D

To become:

  • Fully aware of the technique of balanced force filing, its use in developing a “glide path” in curved canal
  • preparation, and its’ importance with rotary instrumentation. Familiar with current root canal irrigants and irrigation techniques.
  • Familiar with techniques available for accurate and predictable determination of working lengths
  • Able to try out a few contemporary endodontic file systems (Hands-on)
  • Able to evaluate cases and decide on appropriate treatment regimes, and when to refer
