Aims
  • To revise the salient points in relation to posture and positioning for clinical dental treatment and attempt to address any issues that the VT students may have.
Objectives
  • Discuss the risk factors of poor working positions
  • Discuss the aetiology, symptoms and preventive measures for musculoskeletal problems
  • Discuss and demonstrate the principles of correct posture and positioning
  • Outline equipment and exercises that can help prevent and manage musculoskeletal problems
Learning outcomes

This basic refresher will help the students to build on skills and knowledge recently acquired in relation to posture and to identify their own future learning needs.
