Aims

To discuss recommendations of the HTM 01-05 document and to give an overview of the City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Dental Decontamination.

· To identify the requirements of essential and best practice in relation to dental decontamination

· To discuss the requirements of equipment validation

· To recognise the flow of dental instruments within the decontamination room to maintain infection control
