Aims

To welcome and familiarise the FDs with the Education Centre and Dental Foundation Programme, by introducing the course programme and relevant ground rules.

Objectives
  • Be familiar with the Foundation programme and HEENW paperwork
  • Identify Training programme director and staff that will support them throughout the Foundation year
  • Identify and utilise resources both electronically and within the education centre
  • Demonstrate understanding of the role of professionalism and be familiar with the GDC standards
Learning outcomes
  • FDs will have a good understanding of the Dental Foundation Programme and what is expected of them
