Aims

We will look at the role of periodontal surgery in the management of periodontitis and how it can enhance restorative dentistry and then look at Peri-Implantitis, what we know and where we are heading.

Objectives

To expose delegates to all aspects of periodontal surgery and then discuss where we are currently at in Peri-implant monitoring, maintenance, diagnosis of problems and management.

Learning outcomes

The delegates should understand:

1) The indications and applications of periodontal surgery for the management of periodontal disease.

2) How to incorporate periodontal surgery into restorative treatment plans to aid function or aesthetics.

3) How to monitor and maintain dental implants.

4) How to diagnose peri-implant disease and understand treatment options.
