Aims | To provide dental staff with the knowledge to assess, manage and treat the seriously ill patient within the dental surgery until emergency assistance arrives. | ||
Objectives | List appropriate AGP and non AGP. State the changes to the RCUK resus guidelines in line with COVID 19 and the implications in practice. Discuss the management of the seriously ill patient. Explain the structured approach to assessment and management. Recall the appropriate medication and treatment strategies for various medical emergencies. Consider previous training and risk assess current equipment to ensure fit for purpose. | ||
Learning outcomes | Participants will be able to demonstrate a greater understanding of the structured approach to the management of medical emergencies and regulations for compliance on current practice. | ||
