Aims

The aim is to provide knowledge to employers and employees regarding their responsibilities around fire safety and health and safety compliance

Objectives

This course meets Enhanced CPD Development Outcome: A, B & C

  • acquire an understanding of current legislation
  • identify common causes of fire (elements of fire)
  • identify structural fire protection in your premises
  • understand the duties of a fire marshal
  • recognise and understand fire safety management and associated policies
  • gain an understanding of current legislation
  • identify the first aid fire fighting equipment appropriate for different types of fire
Learning outcomes

on completion of this course delegates will understand:

  • basic fire hazards and consequential risks in the workplace
  • The main measures that should be taken to minimise fire risks
