Participants will be able to

  • Consider the Foundation Contract and highlight key areas to ensure the FD is fully aware of their responsibilities within their role as FD.
  • Discuss the case study and audit requirements and share examples of what is an expected standard to present during their foundation year.
  • Demonstrate and discuss a clear understanding of the GDC standards and professional expectations of a foundation dentist in and out of the practice setting.
  • State the requirements of satisfactory completion and the Eportfolio.
  • Reflect on all aspects of the induction day and recognise their support networks to ensure a smooth transition on to the Foundation Dental Programme

The Foundation Dentist will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the foundation dental programme and be able to meet all requirements to gain a satisfactory completion certification.
