To give an overview of the current management of children with cleft lip and/or palate and the role of other dental professionals in their care.

Objectives

1. To understand the diagnosis of and clinical pathway for children with cleft lip and/or palate

2. To describe the multidisciplinary team and the role of the paediatric dentist

3. To be aware of the oral health problems for children with cleft lip and/or palate and help to improve dental health and care within the region
