DescriptionThe module provides a rare and exciting opportunity for dental practices in the North West region to upskill their dental nurses in readiness for the new contract.
Additional information

It is aimed at dental nurses who wish to engage in the rapidly developing public health agenda and will develop learners' understanding of a population approach to oral health care and general wellbeing, including health promotion and oral health education.

The course incorporates a supportive and encouraging study skills programme for those new to further education. Further for those working in the North West region, in the NHS or in practices with an NHS contract, the course is fully funded by Health Education England North West.

A variety of teaching and learning methods will be used to ensure a lively and supportive learning environment. These will include seminars, lectures, online learning and tutorial support. Assessment will take several forms including a poster and work-based competencies.
