The course fee is subsidised by Health Education England North West and will cost £100 if the workplace in which you are employed, treats predominately NHS patients and is located within the boundaries of Health Education England North West (HEENW). If your workplace is outside of the boundaries of HEENW the course fee will be £200.00. This fee includes lectures, practical sessions and consumables, a sandwich lunch and refreshments will also be provided.

Places on this course are limited to 12 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Registration starts at 8:30am.

Cancellation policy: A refund, less £20 administration fee, is guaranteed for cancellations received up to three weeks before the start of the course (7th September 2017 at 5pm). Aims
  • To help practitioners improve their tooth preparation skills to produce more successful adhesive and conventional coverage restorations.
Learning outcomes

By the end of the event, delegates will be able to:

  • Discuss the principles of extra-coronal tooth preparation including the importance of retention and resistance form
  • Explain the preparations required for a metal ceramic crown, full gold crown, dentine bonded crown, labial ceramic veneer, Emax Crown and an adhesive gold onlay.
  • Use putty matrices as an aid to improving their extra-coronal tooth preparations.
  • Apply the different design features discussed to their tooth preparations, including metal ceramic crowns, full gold crowns, dentine bonded crowns, labial ceramic veneers, adhesive gold onlays and Emax restorations.
  • Appreciate the importance of an accurate master impression/locating impression/jaw registration when treatment planning and providing fixed prosthodontics.
