DCT Study Day - Oral Malignancy (DCM)

Learning Outomes

· To understand the different types and stages of oral malignancies which affect the oral region

· How to diagnose oral malignancy and recognise premalignant lesions

· Understand the need for early referral

· Understand the causes of oral malignancy and be able to give preventative advice

· To gain an understanding of treatment options. For oral malignancy

Mandatory: Dental Core Trainee Year 1

This half day course will provide an overview of the diagnosis and treatment of oral malignancies.

· To explore the areas of the oral cavity affected by malignancy.

· To discuss different types of malignancy

· To have an overview of signs and symptoms of malignant pathology
