  • To disseminate examples of good practice for complex disabled and medically compromised patients to general dental practice teams
  • Emphasise the importance avoiding the need for referral for a special need patient 
Objectives
  • Highlight the work of the SCD MCN
  • Develop the confidence of general dental practice teams to treat complex patients
  • Express the importance of communicating with SCD patients 
  • Identify tips/advice on how to treat challenging patients
