Aims

Improve knowledge of management and treatment of children in dental practice and increase knowledge and confidence in when to refer to other services

Objectives

Discussion with behavioural management, treatment of caries with case scenarios, including when to refer patients to other services. Explanation of the role of the dental team in safeguarding children.

Learning outcomes

The delegate will have increased knowledge of patient management and treatment planning, including immediate management of some dental trauma situations. The delegate will know what an appropriate referral is and when to make it. The delegate will have a greater understanding of the role of other dental care professionals.
