To provide a general understanding of implant dentistry at a basic level for the new dental trainee, on both surgical and restorative aspects

1.  Provide an overview of patient related factors when considering dental implants

2.  Provide an overview of surgical related factors when considering dental implants

3. Provide an overview of restorative/prosthetic related factors when considering dental implants

4. Highlight the risks and benefits of implant treatment detail the limitations of implant treatment

5. Provide an overview of the stages of implant restoration and prosthodontics work up
