To discuss the Restorative Management of Tooth wear Patients.

Objectives

To describe the aetiology, management and maintenance of a patients presenting with tooth surface loss.

Learning outcomes

After presentation, delegates should:

  • Appreciate the aetiology of tooth wear
  • Understand what abrasion, erosion, attrition and abfraction mean
  • Appreciate the different options available to manage tooth surface loss, including the use of indirect restorations, overdentures and composite resin
  • Appreciate the evidence base which underpins the restorative management of tooth wear patients
