Aims

To increase practitioner awareness of DVA as a safeguarding concern

Objectives
  • Define the signs of DVA in adults and CYP victims and abusers including ownership language and behaviours
  • Increase confidence in responding safely to DVA as a safeguarding concern/
  • Reflect on experiences and explore how they would respond to and record incidents/concerns in the future
Learning outcomes

Following the session participants will have:

  • Increased understanding of the topic
  • Increased confidence in noticing the signs and symptoms of adult and CYP victim/survivor behaviour
  • Increased awareness of perpetrator behaviours and how to respond safely.
