To have a detailed study of the causes, indications and referral processes in safeguarding cases. To examine the GDC guidelines appropriate to the practice of dentistry.

Objectives

To understand the theories supporting safeguarding issues and to understand the relevance of GDC guidelines.

Learning outcomes

Be able to diagnose and refer appropriately in safeguarding cases.
