Aims | This course has been specifically developed to meet the needs of dental professionals and to comply with guidance from the CQC, Resuscitation Council and the GDC. At the end of the course, the candidate will be awarded an EFA first aid certificate, HSE approved to comply with the CQC recommendations and will also be awarded a certificate in the management of medical emergencies within the dental practice
Objectives | The 1- day Dental Medical Emergency first aid course is required by employers, where their Risk assessment has shown a need for appointed persons for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First aid) regulations. There is also additional guidance for example from the CQC, UK resuscitation Council and the GDC. This course is aimed at all practice staff. However, due to the additional components e.g. drug use, it is highly recommended for clinical staff. This bespoke course has been compiled with the need of dental professionals in mind and also focuses on medical emergencies and the use of emergency equipment within the practice including the use of drugs.
