Aims

to assist dental practices in maintaining CQC fundamental standards in line with the "new" regulatory framework for Primary Dental services.

 

to acknowledge the main issues relating to Health and Safety in the dental environment and measure performance in meeting legal standards.

Objectives

This course meets the Enhanced CPD Development Outcomes: A, B, C & D

  • identify general and specific legislation applicable to working in a Dental setting and examine good practice
  • undertake a policy review and make recommendations for revision
  • carry out significant event analysis and identify the need for external reporting
  • complete the stages of risk assessment and determine reasonable practicable control measures 
  • have an appreciation of the principles and key elements  of CQC new operating model
Learning outcomes
  •  For individuals to be able to set realistic, achievable and measurable goals in order to continuously comply with CQC regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate areas for improvements within own dental setting and determine suitable and sufficient controls to reduce risk.
