This course aims to introduce the use of acupuncture into the dental setting.

Objectives

To discuss;

· Theory and Background of acupuncture

· The principles of how acupuncture works, both Chinese and Scientific hypotheses

· Diagnosis of head and neck myofascial pain

· The application of acupuncture in relation to dentistry and conditions treated

· Side effects and complications of acupuncture

· And how to start using acupuncture in your practice

· Practical use of acupuncture in the Dental Surgery

· Identification of acupuncture points, local and distant
