Aims
  • To ensure VT therapists have developed the knowledge and understanding regarding principles of direct restorations
  • To provide VT therapists with an opportunity to improve clinical skills when applying rubber dam and working with both amalgam and composite.
Objectives
  • Explain the principles of direct restorations
  • Discuss amalgam and composite and best time to use each material
  • Demonstrate how to use the materials in an effective way
Learning outcomes

At the end of the session, the VT Therapists will be able to:

  • Use the information to improve their knowledge on dental materials.
  • Have more understanding around the principles of direct restorations.
  • Have increased confidence in placing rubber dam and using both composite and amalgam in general practice.
