Aims

Participants will learn and practise lifesaving medical first aid skills and embed all Basic Life-Saving Skills

Objectives

· To be able to conduct a primary survey

· To be able to employ CPR techniques (including use of a defibrillator)

· To be able to maintain the airway and apply oxygen efficiently

· To be able to ensure the knowledge and stock of essential drugs is secure

· To be able to conduct a secondary survey and employ the recovery position

· To be able to manage conditions such as choking, asthma, anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, seizures, hypoglycaemia
