Objectives

To update practitioners in current concepts of periodontal diagnosis and treatment planning and to provide simulated surgical teaching on pig’s heads.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, practitioners will have discussed:

· Current concepts in periodontal assessment and treatment planning;

· Non-surgical therapy and its limitations;

· Basic periodontal surgery, indications, flap design and suturing techniques.
