To provide an introduction to knowledge and skills for the promotion of mental health & building resilience

Objectives
  • Provide an overview of the concept of mental health & resilience
  • Explore the factors that impact on mental health within the context of Foundation Dentists/Foundation Therapists and the role of TPDs in supporting resilience
  • Examine how the cognitive behavioural model of emotional disorder provides an evidence-based framework for understanding common mental health problems.
  • Identify opportunities and build skills for supporting mental health and building resilience.
