  • Understand what an implant is and what they can do
  • Understand how and why impants work
  • Understand the pros and cons of treatment options
  • Learn the names of the other paraphernalia
  • Approach to assessment and treatment planning
  • Learn how to restore implants and make money
Objectives
  • Look at the history of implants
  • Talk through the Astra system and its design
  • Look at some standard case histories and photos
  • Look at how to assess patients clinically
  • Look at the SAC classification
  • See a breakdown of the costs involved
  • Get some hands on with the kit
Learning outcomes

By the end of the session you will:

  • have increased knowledge of the financial, surgical and restorative elements of dental implants
  • have gained practical/hands on experience of the Astra implant system
  • be able to advise patients regarding the financial and surgical elements of implants
