This Annual Peer Review meeting is for Orthodontic specialists, GDPs providing orthodontic services, Orthodontic therapists, and Dental Nurses working in  practices and hospital units providing orthodontic care. It will start with a presentation on Adult Orthodontics by Rachel Seed, Specialist Orthodontist at Garstang Dental Referral Practice. There will then be plenty of time for guided round-table discussions with peers on relevant orthodontic topics, with an open plenary discussion session to close.

Orthodontists and GDPs are asked to bring records of two difficult orthodontic cases they would like to discuss with colleagues.

  2. To discuss Oral health messages for Orthodontic patients and how these can be most effectively communicated
  3. To review peer practice of difficult clinical orthodontic cases and other relevant orthodontic issues
Objectives
  1. To comply with GDC and LAT recommendations for Peer Review in relevant fields of dental practice
  2. To facilitate peer group discussion to improve the quality of Orthodontic services provided
Learning outcomes
  1. Knowledge of up to date clinical practice and oral health messages in Orthodontics
  2. Awareness of clinical management issues for difficult and complex orthodontic cases, particularly for adult patients
