Aims

To improve delegates' knowledge of, and ability to, provide dental care to children with dental caries, including the use of the Hall Technique.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the event, delegates will be able to:

  • Diagnose childhood (Paediatric) dental caries, and explain the role of dental radiographs
  • Complete an accurate caries risk assessment in children and provide appropriate preventive care
  • Formulate an effective treatment plan for children with dental caries, in accordance with direct access legislation
  • Demonstrate use of the Hall technique to place Preformed Metal Crowns
