* PLEASE NOTE

This course will provide 7.5 hours of eCPD. The theory section of this course will now be taught online via a 2 hour webinar - Wednesday 2nd September 6.30pm - 8.30pm. Failure to attend the webinar will result in you not being able to attend the 5.5 hour hands on clinical skills section of the course. You will receive an MS Teams invitation to the webinar no later than Monday 31st August please check your spam/junk emails.

Please note there will be no lunch provided on this course but there are places near by where food can be purchased.

Aims

To enhance knowledge and skills in restorative techniques and to improve confidence in working as a Dental Therapist in practice.

Objectives

Delegates will practice key restorative skills within the scope of practice of the Dental Therapist receiving guidance and feedback, improving confidence and knowledge of:

  • The principles of cavity prep, caries management and key properties of dental materials under rubber dam the placement, carving, contouring and polishing of restorations.
  • Refresh LA knowledge and use of exemptions.
  • Identifying what a Dental Therapist Protocol may look like.
  • Recognising a patient centred pathway in the restoration of teeth.
