To explore the indications and techniques for periodontal surgery

Objectives
  1.  To revise of the stages of periodontal treatment planning in line with current (S3) guidelines
  2.  To discuss of the factors influencing periodontal treatment planning and when surgery may be appropriate
  3.  To explain of the options for periodontal surgery and the indications for each
Learning outcomes

At the end of the session the delegates should:

  •  have a broad understanding of the role of periodontal surgery in the management of periodontitis
  •  be able to identify cases where periodontal surgery is indicated
  •  be able to interpret clinical information to decide the most suitable surgical approach
