Additional information

IMPRESS Course Funding and Attendance - IMT Stage 1

Trainees are reminded that the Postgraduate School of Medicine fully funds one place on the IMPRESS course for each trainee during IMT Stage 1 training.

Trainees can attend the course at any stage of IMY2 or IMY3, but are encouraged to attend late IMY2/early IMY3, where possible, for maximum benefit for their stage of training.

Additional attendance at the course may be permitted but will normally be self-funded unless prior agreement has been obtained from the Educational Supervisor (ES) and/or Training Programme Directors (TPDs), for example where required for ARCP purposes.

Where trainees have already attended a funded place, further course bookings may be escalated to the TPDs.

PLEASE NOTE:

Late cancellations may leave funded places unfilled and prevent other trainees from attending. Trainees are reminded that early cancellation with a minimum of four weeks notice is good practice and increases admin team opportunities to fill the vacant course slot. Any cancellation with less than two weeks notice, except in extenuating circumstances, will be reported to the TPD and may be discussed with the Educational Supervisor to ensure appropriate follow-up and promote responsible use of limited training resources.
