Lecturer profileSarah qualified as a doctor in 1998 and has experience in clinical, facilitation, mediation, coaching and leadership roles in healthcare.
She worked as a GP for 20yrs and, during the last 15yrs, gained a wide range of skills and competencies through developing and delivering communication and professional skills training for doctors. Sarah has worked with several organisations, including HEE and a medical indemnity organisation, to provide learning activities with the aim of reducing medico-legal risk and improving clinician communication and patient satisfaction.
Sarah is also an experienced appraiser, coach, mentor and accredited mediator, working with clinicians and managers in a variety of healthcare settings, in order to identify the root cause of issues & challenges faced.
She has held leadership roles as Named GP Safeguarding Children for Hull CCG, Clinical Director PCN and at RCOG as Director of Education, and now works as a freelance facilitator and coach for health professionals.
