Lecturer profileLecturer Profile Nicola is a Senior Dental Officer and the IV Sedation Lead for CDS-CIC in Derbyshire. Nicola gained her Diploma in Conscious Sedation in 2005. She currently provides Intravenous, Transmucosal and Inhalation Sedation for phobic and special care patients within Derbyshire. Nicola has experience in teaching undergraduates, DCP's and Spr's in Special Care Dentistry. She is the chair of the Yorks and Humber/HEE Dental Sedation Peer Review Group.

Lecturer profileDipika Deviram has worked as a Senior Dental Officer with Community Dental Services CIC since February 2019. She qualified from Leeds University in 2005 and completed vocational training in a community hospital in Accrington. Following on from this, she then completed a year doing hospital jobs as a senior house officer and became a community dentist in Oldham and Warwickshire before joining CDS. Dee was awarded the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Hypnosis, Communication Skills and Related Techniques in February 2022.

Lecturer profileNeil is a Consultant in Oral Surgery based at Birmingham Dental Hospital. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation and uses these skills regularly in the provision of oral surgery with the help of intravenous sedation. He has a particular interest in the orthodontic/oral surgery interface and therefore is well experienced in the care of anxious children.

Lecturer profileAngharad is a Specialist in Special Care Dentistry in Nottinghamshire Community Dental Service. Since graduating from dental school in Liverpool in 2009 she has worked across a range of dental settings. Following a couple of years in general dental practice she then undertook various hospital/maxillofacial and teaching positions in London. Angharad completed Specialist training in Derbyshire between 2018-2021. Currently, she is General Anaesthetic lead in Nottinghamshire and also treats patients under Intravenous sedation and Inhalation sedation in the community setting.
