Aims
  • To increase awareness of the presentation, diagnosis and management of common oral medicine conditions/lesions
  • To highlight and review the clinical features of these conditions specifically oral candidosis, ulcerative disorders, xerostomia and common mucosal/bony swellings
  • To review the referral process and the role of interdisciplinary working for these patients

  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the more commonly seen oral mucosal problems
  • Recognise the signs & symptoms of common oral medicine conditions
  • Accurately describe oral lesions/conditions
  • Understand the principles of referral and treatment
