| Description | This training course supports dental nurses who are involved in caring for patients undergoing minor oral surgery procedures. There are 6 modules. Module 1 – Introduction to the Role, Legislation and Guidance. Module 2 – Pre-operative procedures, regional and dental anatomy, pain and anxiety control. Module 3 – medical complications, wound management and suture removal. Module 4 – Procedures and treatments, post-op complications. Module 5 – Oral disease and associated conditions, oral cancer. Module 6 – Behaviour Management, personal development. |
| Additional information | Dental nurses must be GDC registered. Able to allocate a workplace clinical supervisor to support any competency workbook. Applicants must have access to a digital device with camera and audio facilities. |
