| Description | This is a Northern universities consortium day which we host every other year here at sheffield- we deal with complex discussions of multidisciplinary nature and consenting issues in relation to Orthodontic treatment. We focus on risks and benefits of treatment, we normally host a defence specialist who discusses professionalism in the workplace and thorough note and documentation of treament Break out rooms enable 2 additional learning style 1) OSCE with questions on 15 sheets with candidates given blank answer sheets to complete- with immediate feedback after 1 hour of assessment 2) we have a series of Case base discussions- related to complex mid treatment decisions (transferring care) this is good learning for our attendees as they rarely see mid treatment transfers and we discuss how to establish progress and making the next steps. |
