DescriptionThis course is a fantastic opportunity to get to grips with modern endodontics. We will be joined in Plymouth by Jonathan Hope, who will be guiding us through endodontic treatment from diagnosis and decision making, irrigation, obturation to the importance of good coronal seal. This course will enable you to practice rubber dam placement, continuous rotation and reciprocation systems using plastic teeth in a friendly and supportive environment. There will be no more than ten dentists, ensuring plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.
Additional information

This course is suitable for people wanting to gain confidence in basic endodontics or who haven't yet used rotary endodontic instruments - no curved canals here!  If you are looking to extend your skills, this isn't the course for you.

This course is suitable for International Dental Graduates who are working toward their performer numbers in the Southwest.

Aims

To update on modern endodontics using materials and equipment that simplify treatment and lead to good outcomes.

Objectives

1. Understand the diagnosis and assessment surrounding decisions for endodontic treatment.

2. Gain confidence in the placement of rubber dam, both single tooth and multi tooth isolation.

3. Have hands on experience with continuous rotation and reciprocation system to prepare typodont teeth.

4. Understand the importance of irrigation and obturation.

5. Gain and understanding of the importance of good coronal seal.

Learning outcomes

Participants will gain an understanding of modern endodontic treatment workflow with simplified techniques to deliver efficient, safe and reproducible endodontic treatment.
