Description | This lecture based course aims to give a concise update on various medications that patients may be on, which could influence their oral surgery treatment. It will outline what is suitable to be treated in primary care and how to avoid problems and how to manage them, should they occur. | ||
Additional information | Greg Gerrard is a Specialist Oral Surgeon, who qualified in 2004 and completed specialist training in 2012, following which he worked as a locum Consultant at King's College Hospital, London. He now works in both primary and secondary care, providing oral surgery with inhalational and intravenous sedation. His time is split between working for Oxford Health in Didcot/Oxford, Care UK in Devizes or Southampton, and Rowcroft Dental Centre in Stroud. He leads the Surgical Skills modules that form part of the University of Bristol Diploma in Dental Postgraduate Studies and has completed a PGCert in Teaching and Learning for Healthcare Professionals. He has an MSc in Clinical Leadership and sits on the council of the British Association of Oral Surgeons | ||
