DescriptionThis course will take us through the diagnosis of the types of periodontal disease and give us opportunities for designing treatment plans in a relaxed atmosphere in order to improve periodontal treatment planning in general dental practice.
Additional information

This is a lecture workshop style course and will have interactive case discussions so numbers are limited to 16. The course is open to all members of the dental team.

Aims

This course will include problem solving to assess current treatment planning methods and enable the dental team to improve periodontal treatment planning in general dental practice.

Objectives

Objectives: by the end of the course, participants will;

1. Understand the process of assessing, diagnosing and effectively treatment plan patients with periodontal disease.

2. Design treatment plans for a variety of periodontal diagnoses with the aid of case studies.

3. Liaise with other members of the team in providing sound care and management.

Learning outcomes:

1. Effectively identify and diagnose types of periodontal disease including spotting more challenging cases

2. Recognise & use appropriate methods of diagnosis and assessment

3. Formulate treatment plans for patients with periodontal disease
