Aims

To provide information to improve participants’ ability to diagnose and manage TMD and to describe the use of a range of occlusal splints

Objectives

At the end of the course participants will:

Be familiar with the broad range of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMDs) and understand how they are diagnosed

Be aware of the treatment options for TMDs and be able to initiate a management plan /or refer when appropriate

Have improved knowledge of the indications for, and types of, occlusal splints

Be able to provide occlusal splints appropriately for their patients

Outcomes: Increased confidence in the diagnosis and management of TMDs and the appropriate use of occlusal splints for their patients
