Aims | · To provide an update on the management of caries in the primary dentition and the use of preformed metal crowns · To provide “hands on” experience for placement of preformed metal crown on a deciduous molar. | ||
Objectives | By the end of the session all participants should be able to · Feel more confident about managing children who require a preformed metal crown Select appropriate restorative materials for various clinical situations in the carious primary dentition Justify the use of preformed metal crowns in the primary dentition using the Hall technique · Place a preformed metal crown (stainless steel crown) on a deciduous molar using the Hall technique · Identify clinical situations which require additional intervention for placement of a preformed metal crown | ||
