1) List the current classification of periodontal disease.

2) Describe the rationale for non-surgical periodontal therapy and be aware of the different adjunctive treatments including antibiotics and when they are indicated.

3) Understand the importance of and the impact of supportive periodontal therapy.

4) Understand potential treatment options for improving aesthetics in the perio-dontally compromised patient.

5) Understand the basics of peri-implantitis and what the team can do.
