DescriptionAn assessment of students who have completed the theory part of the impression taking course and patient log book. After completing this session each student will be signed off as competent to take dental impressions from a prescription of their GDP within their own practices
Additional information

Students must have completed part one - a theory course and successfully completed their pateint  log books in order to attend and complete the osce session.

Aims

All DCP's are to take 2 dental alginate impressions of a patient to a prescription of a dentsit while under observation.

Objectives

While taking the impression the DCP will:

Be able to work to the prescription of their GDP

Be able to demonstrate good communication skills

Be able to demonstrate good infection control measures

Be able to demonstrate competence and confidence

Be able to identify any errors in the impression

Show an understading of confidentiality and consent
