Leona works as a clinical skills facilitator at the School of Dentistry at Leeds University with responsibility for the Medical Emergency Training. Leona teaches dental students, NHS dental staff and Dental Practice teams accessing training as part of their CPD scheme. Leona has worked in the acute NHS sector as a Registered Nurse for twenty years and brings a wealth of clinical experience to her facilitator role. She also worked as clinical educator at Leeds teaching hospital supporting the development of newly qualified staff through a competency based training package.

I have been a registered nurse for 11 years working in critical and urgent care areas. I have also worked as Student Link nurse between Airedale AMU and the University of Bradford. I have a BSC Hons in Healthcare studies, PGCE in clinical education and am currently studying for a Masters in Clinical Education.
