Lecturer profileJames graduated in 2004 and, following completion of Vocational Training, worked as an associate in general dental practice for 5 years. During this time he attained the MFGDP membership and an MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

In 2010 he returned to hospital dentistry to enter specialist training in restorative dentistry. He completed his Membership in Endodontics in 2013 and completed restorative training in June 2015.

He now works part time in general dental practice and part time as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester.

Peter qualified from Bristol in 1997. He spent two years in general practice and hospital dentistry in Newcastle and a further year in Bolton as a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He started his specialist and academic training in Paediatric Dentistry in 2000 and has been in Leeds ever since. His PhD was in the field of dental trauma. In 2009 he spent six months sabbatical working at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. He returned to England in January 2010 to take up a joint academic appointment with University of Leeds and Bradford salaried dental services.

Lecturer profileMital completed an intercalated BSc(Hons) in Dental Science in 2002 and qualified as a dentist in 2005 from Cardiff Dental School. He then moved to London to complete his foundation training before travelling up to Yorkshire in 2008 to undertake five years of specialist training in Restorative Dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute. During this time he was awarded an MSc in Restorative Dentistry with distinction and completed his training in 2013 after which he moved back to London to take up his current role as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Barts Health NHS Trust in London.

Mital's clinical practice incorporates all aspects of restorative dentistry. He is particularly involved in the rehabilitation of patients with dental trauma and is a member of the head and neck trauma MDT at The Royal London Dental Hospital. Mital is also the clinical lead for the endodontic service and is involved in postgraduate teaching and training in implant dentistry as part of the MClinDent programmes in Prosthodontics and Periodontology.

Mital enjoys teaching and training at all levels and has published and co-authored a number articles in peer reviewed journals. He also undertakes private practice dedicated to all aspects of restorative dentistry in North London and Essex
